Curriculum Day

Today is our follow up curriculum Day at Burlington High. Looking forward to seeing every one and finding out what they plan to do for their projects. Found  a copy of Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt  which i will read aloud to my 6th grade reading students before we begin quilt squares. So far we have read Chapter 2 in Harriet Tubman and the Freedom Train about her marriage to John Tubman and her plans to escape north.The story has led to a discussion of nicknames in class. Working on vocabulary today to be followed by Comprehension questions.
