Americans in Defense and Pursuit of Freeom
Field Trip today! Massachusetts Historical Society and walking the Freedom Trail for the first time! Wow what a thrill to actually see and hold the primary source documents. My biggest thrill was actually getting to hold a musket and feel how heavy it was! Don't know how those minutemen could have run with it for such distances, I would have gotten very tired! Also highlights were the Boston Massacre Engraving by Paul Revere and the powder horn original Map/artwork of Boston and surrounding environs. It was not just an artifact but a piece of art! Dr. William Fowler was a terrific tour guide on our Freedom Trail walk. Really enjoyable and informative day.
