Beginning anew unit today in English. Book is called My Dog Lala and is an excerpt from memoirs of Holocaust survivor Roman Kent. Going to have the students use dictionary.com on my iPad to help look up the vocabulary words. First we need to find and highlight all of them in first chapter. Have some pictures to use as a starting point as discussion. Story is about tolerance and unconditional love and the ability to deal with life threatening difficult situations. Really nice short piece only there chapters but very specific and uncommon vocabulary much of it directly from historical time period of WWII.
