Interesting that while at the Clark/Hancock House I asked if the family had owned a slave. Our guide said that they probably had and that slave had shared meals with the family. Also there was one African American who participated in the confrontation on Lexington Green on April 19th who was wounded and who also later signed on to fight with the continental Army forces.
